The present study is the result of a doctoral thesis carried out in the Doctoral Program in Education and Social Intervention offered by the UNAN-Managua in cooperation with the Pablo de Olavide University, Seville, Spain. The research was conducted under the interpretive paradigm and uses a qualitative approach through the case study method in six Secondary Education Institutes of Managua. The purpose of this study is to assist students taking Masters and Doctorate courses in the development of design or methodological framework of their research works using qualitative approaches since we have started investigative processes and to establish the correlation between paradigms, approaches, methods, techniques and instruments for gathering information is difficult. THese issues limit the progress and conclusion of graduation from the degree, undergraduate and graduate programs. A contribution is also made to the processes of validity and reliability of research techniques, as well as the triangulation in the process of analysis and interpretation of the results.
