Abstract

Reading comprehension is a thematic element to be strengthened in students to be graduated in the Hispanic Language and Literature, through the pedagogical progression of the literature included in the curriculum, whose conceptual, procedural and attitudinal objectives try to potentiate the link between the content they read with the context. This essay seeks to shed light on the importance of the study of the Spanish literature for the graduated’s professional career, taking into account that graduated students must be capable of making critical judgments and being the protagonist of changes in an increasingly modern and globalized world. From the Spanish experiences narrated in the texts, the graduate student can process the information to acquire a holistic, epistemological, cosmopolitan vision and apply it in their daily life and their environment.
