PHILOSOPHY, SOCIOLOGY, AND ETHICS IN THE UNIVERSITY
Abstract
This essay aims at visualizing three fundamental moments in the lives of future professionals, as an integral part of their unique professional reality, that is to say, the specific discipline in which they are educated. Philosophy is tackled, starting with the awareness that it is our first and most natural human activity. Sociology is the specific field where thought is developed; society, where reasoning is applied critically traversing history, and finally the need for an ethical training, which in some cases is called moral education, and in other cases professional ethics or deontology —where it distinguishes the proper of professional ethics as the specific issue of deontology. These three elements components of the same reality - the university student - are fundamental for the realization of future professionals.
