Abstract

Social Security schemes are benefits that people who will contribute for years of work will enjoy in the future. This topic is still controversial because, for the most part, the collaborators of the MIPYMES believe that contributing to the insurance is a necessary expense and that this money could be used for other uses. Therefore, the objective of this article is to identify factors that are affecting both employees and owners of automotive workshops in Juigalpa, department of Chontales, and that leads them to minimize the importance of enrolling in social security. The methodology used was the use of conceptual bases, sample definition in automotive workshops, through surveys, analysis of results that demonstrate that there is knowledge of the types of social security benefits; however, they prefer to make use of public services, exposing themselves to occupational health accidents. These results lead to suggest to other researchers, to deepen the analysis from other factors, such as the work environment, statistical demonstration of expenses, compliance with legal regulations in the country.
