Abstract

Job stress is a common problem that affects mental and physical health in teachers working under different stressors, so it is important to know its influence in the different areas of life and propose strategies to reduce its impact. The aim was to evaluate the effects of a therapeutic dance program for the control of job stress in teachers of the Pedagogical Foundation Cristal Estelí, during the second semester 2019. A mixed study with quantitative, exploratory and quasi-experimental predominance research was conducted with five teachers, selected through non-probabilistic sample, the data were obtained through free listing, checklist, Burnout questionnaire, WHO questionnaire and observation guide, processed in the Excel, SPSS and Word programs. There was evidence of a decrease in the level of stress in the emotional fatigue dimension, organizational climate and in the organizational structure area. It is concluded that a positive effect of the program was obtained with respect to the level of stress presented by the sample since it was possible to vary in some teachers their scores to lower levels in the post test application. The program also helped them release tensions, identify negative emotions, and forget about problems.
