An experience of participatory planning and organization for community resilience before volcanic risks

This research note is part of the progress of the PRIDCA C108 research project, the
purpose was to systematize the experience of participatory planning and organization for resilience community in the face of volcanic risks. The methodology used was observation, dialogues, planning, training and organization. Some results are: 1) Several efforts made by other external institutions, which did not support the historical process and did not achieve consolidation as organizations for the development of the territory, 2) It is evidenced in the initiatives of organizations that found in the territory of intervention, which were not prepared with the necessary bases to achieve the
sustainability and evolution as local development agencies and 3) The participation process is supported a space for the exchange of opinions and positions, which fed the proposal to develop and identify people with the objectives of the project.
