Effectiveness of the Methodological Strategy “Raining Memes” to promote reading comprehension of literary texts

This article summarizes the results of the effectiveness study of the methodological strategy “Raining Memes” to promote the reader comprehension of literary texts. This research was conducted at the National Institute Heroes and Martyrs, Pueblo Nuevo, in the First Semester 2019. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of this strategy in promoting the reading comprehension of literary texts in eleventh grade ¨A¨. The result was the application of an effective methodology that by its interactive, heuristic, synergistic, and therefore holistic nature allowed to encourage and motivate the students. The theoretical contribution of this study is the study of methodological strategies of reading comprehension, on the other hand, the practical contribution is the structuring of a methodological proposal mediated by the Technologies of Information and Communication (ICT) which main element is the insertion of educational memes in the didactics of the Literature Language specifically in literary texts. Therefore, it is part of the goal research aimed at achieving educational quality and transforming the didactic act in a scenario where teachers and students manage to appropriate technological resources to build their epistemological acquis.
