This research consists of the proposal of Urban Regeneration through a system of public spaces that allows integrating the tourist center of the coast of Lake Cocibolca with the Historical Center of the city of Granada, Nicaragua.
The Tourist Center has privileged landscape conditions, due to its proximity to the great Lake Cocibolca, however it has not been possible to take advantage of it and it is disconnected from the city, which means that it is not integrated to the rest of the urban plot or the tourist circuit that it is offered, through history it has not been possible to make the connection between city and lake, this being an important potential with respect to public space.
Public spaces play an important role within the city and the intention of this initiative is to rescue them through a process that allows the emergence of ideas and proposals that feed back in favor of all those involved. The proposal highlights the importance of public spaces, as well as identifying the areas of opportunity and the sense of belonging that these should have.
