Abstract

The text is a brief reflection arising from the observation and tour of the city of Managua. To improve it would require an experimental verification of the ideas collected here, ie quantify and measure the aspects listed. However, it is intended to problematize about these situations in order to find guidelines and recommendations that point to the development of a viable model. This visual recognition gathers the potentialities of a city that is in accelerated growth, which has many spaces of opportunity and a great landscape richness.
The observations made question some fossilized notions in the urban thought of the last 60 years, propose to overcome these paradigms as the field-city dualism, the developmental vision and unlimited growth; to situate ourselves in a perspective supported by ideas such as capacity to load the territory, rationality of the new extensions of the city, classifies
soil and urban land boundary; preservation of the heritage of soils of natural, productive and scenic value; own thought and cultural identity
